Su Denim – Step Back
Step Back is built around a funk guitar and live bass part which is underpinned by layered pianos and a solid contemporary groove. The soulful vocals are loose in the verses but tight with harmonies in the chorus parts. There are a selection of quirky percussion instruments buried in the mix such as a Flexitone and a Vibraslap to add interest.
The mallet solo comes from the exceptional Bennett Holland with F9 Audio deserving a credit for many of the sample resources.
